8-Bit Music Anthology: NES Edition

There's so many great 8-bit art assets, tilemaps, and other graphical resources in a load of pixel-art styles, but I've always felt like there's not a lot of great music assets that are a perfect match for those resources available.  So - it got me thinking about what I want when I'm looking for assets, and put a pack together with that in mind.

In theory, I wanted to make a variety of packs from classic architecture, but only finished a NES-style one.  There are basically two packs in one here: a 'Pure' version that only uses sounds that the NES could produce, and only in combinations that the original hardware could produce.  No 12-part chiptune harmony there - just what the oscillators of the NES could do.  I wanted something that would be a perfect fit for classic sprites, but optimized for using in modern engines.  If you've got a pixel-art style but a more modern feel, then I wanted something to go along with that, and the 'Modern' version updates the old noise-oscillator drums, and usually beefs up the original sound with a few modern synthesizers as well.  So - 'Pure' for the authentic, 'Modern' if you want the NES on steroids.

Generally speaking, if you're working with a Platformer or a shooter, then the 'Platformer' or 'Action' sections would be perfect, but there's a lot of range there - if it's quirkier, then 'Platformer' is the way to go, and if it needs intensity, 'Action' works pretty well.
